Probate valuation of jewellery
This pretty Victorian gold and garnet set scroll brooch with pendant drop suspension was amongst a good collection of jewellery that we valued for probate purposes.
Generally speaking brooches are not the easiest items of jewellery to sell but they have had a revival in the last few years and a piece of this quality and condition would prove popular if it came onto the open market. I suspect the family will want to keep it but if we are instructed to sell it I will post a note here and on my Instagram page, which you can find by searching “antique_valuations”.
